DIY Earring Making
You guessed it! We have bags o’ beads in sets ready to make earrings with! Check them out in our “WHAT’s NEW” section on the website.
The beads come in all colors, but for this post I’m using the brown bead set. Brown seems to be my go-to color these days because it’s still a bit chilly where I live, but I’ve been wearing bright pastels because it’s technically “spring.” These earrings go with pretty much anything!
For the first pair, I hung the big fiber wrapped beads on short pieces of chain reaction. From there I created a spiral wrapped bead link like this:
String the bead onto the wire and finish the end of the wire with a simple loop. Slide the bead towards the loop and finish the opposite end with a wrapped loop but before closing the loop–connect the short chain piece! Instead of trimming the wire, wrap it around the bead two times and down around the simple loop.
From there, you can open the simple loop and connect a beaded dangle.
This pair is soooo easy! String the boho bead on a head pin, followed with tiny beads. Finish the end with a simple loop and hang on an ear wire. Repeat. Snap! Wear!
These pearl studded beads are some of my absolute faves. They are so beautiful on their own, I don’t think they need much else which is why I hung them from beading wire. Here’s how:
Follow the path of the 19 strand beading wire above. I used #2 crimp tubes and flat crimped it to secure the wire. Trim the excess wire and hang them on an ear wire finding.
Another simple pair that uses Chain Reaction! The details on these beads make my heart flutter. Chain wrapped bohos, you had me at hello!
Be sure to check out all the great findings we have for jewelry making on the site here. With craft shows and summer art sales, these are easy designs that you can whip up fast and sell. Create a collection in every color!

Candie
